There are besides those who also attribute to Jupiter the ribs, the pubic region, the intestines, the blood, the arms and right hand, and the left ear, and the natural faculty. Blood, moreover, and the veins, the kidneys, the seminal vesicles, the nostrils, the back, the flow of semen, and the irascible faculty, they assign to Mars. Again, the kidneys and testicles, the vulva, the womb, the generative seed, and the concupiscible faculty, to Venus: and further the flesh and fat, the belly, the pubic bone, and the navel, and all such things as serve the work of Venus, as the sacrum, the spine, and the loins: moreover she is said to govern the head and the mouth, through which the kiss is given as love's pledge.
